Inkjet Cartridge Recycling
a Lions Club Project Notebook |
This is a HOW TO guide in developing a simple Inkjet Cartridge Recycling fundraising project for your club. This is a very easy project. It may not be a large fundraiser, but it is a continuous project that can involve most of the members of your club.
Resources Needed: Inkjet Cartridge Recycling vendor that PAYS for empty inkjet cartridges. One suggestion is TRI-R Recycling at www.trir.com
Manpower Requirements:
Time frame: Year 'round
Earning potential: At 50 cents per cartridge; each member in your club can find just one cartridge per week. A twenty member club can earn $10 per week. But if a club does not take the project too seriously, It can easily earn an extra $100-$200 per year.
Getting Started: Contact your vendor about getting a startup kit; and suggestions on how successful groups run this project.
Promote the project among your members. Take a few moments to report the number of cartridges that you collected at this and the previous meeting. Keep in short; but keep showing that the project is growing.
Indicate this project in your club bulletin regularly. Mention this on your club's website and brochure.
Do you have a computer store and/or stationary store that will participate?
